Sydney Nichols, MD, FAAP
Sydney Nichols MD, is a board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, with over 10 years of experience. After majoring in Biology, Magna Cum Laude at Andrews University, he received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2007. He developed a passion for Pediatrics and completed his Pediatric Residency at Maimonides Medical Center, New York in 2011.
He cares for children of all ages of the spectrum from tiny newborns all the way up to college-bound teenagers. He prides himself on getting to the root cause of any issue, being compassionate and thorough. He has worked in many capacities including private practice, the hospital setting and with large corporations and due to this, has gathered a wealth of experience. His philosophy is that it is very important to develop a trusted relationship with both the parent(s) and child in order to maximize the treatment plan. He endeavors in his practice of medicine to provide the best possible health outcomes to benefit his patients. He is also board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and is passionate about Wellness particularly weight-loss. He focuses on treating the child as a whole including emotionally, psychologically, not just physically. He incorporates evidence-based alternative therapies where possible into the treatment plan. Dr Nichols has a unique goal to provide accessible, affordable care especially for the working parent(s) by being available during school hours as well as after school/urgent care hours.
Dr. Nichols is the father of two beautiful children. and is passionate about a healthy lifestyle. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing soccer and basketball.
